This project was carried out to support families displaced by severe flooding and landslides caused by Cyclone Ditwah in the Nuwara Eliya area of Sri Lanka.

Hope Is Better Inc. raised $1,000 (approximately LKR 306,000) and, through Sri Shakyamuni Mahamevnawa Bhavana Asapuwa, directed these funds to provide emergency assistance to affected families. The support focused on providing meals and other basic necessities to those who were forced to leave their homes.

Due to the cyclone, heavy rainfall triggered widespread flooding and landslides across the hill country, damaging homes, roads, and railways and leaving many communities isolated. This project helped address urgent needs and offered timely relief and compassion to families experiencing severe hardship during this national crisis.
